Treatments

A short description of our most common treatments

The following contains a summary of our most common treatments. We would be happy to answer any of your further question by telephone, email or in person.

Anaesthesia: We use topical anaesthesia before any kind of injection to reduce the discomfort of the shot. For a local anaesthetic, we use Ultracain DS Forte. This medication is twice as effective and has half the toxicity of the medication most commonly used in Hungary.

Cleaning: The removal of tartar is always done in topical anaesthesia with an ultrasonic instrument. In the interdental areas we use polishing strips. The procedure ends with polishing all tooth surfaces with a special brush. Depending on the amount of tartar, the cleaning lasts 30-60 minutes.

Fillings: We use only high quality tooth-coloured restorative materials. These materials are extremely reactive to humidity. To ensure maximum dryness of the operative area we use a rubber dam.

Bleaching: Teeth whitening makes sense only after professional cleaning. After taking an impression, the technician makes custom trays. The whitening gel is placed in thin, comfortable trays and fitted over the teeth of the patient. This process should be repeated approximately 5-6 times until the desired whiteness is reached. Although this treatment has no side-effects, teeth may be sensitive to hot and cold following the procedure. If so, this effect will subside after a few days. It is important to know that the new colour can be retained for 5-6 years. After this period, pigments found in coffee, red wine, cigarettes, etc. can discolour the teeth again.

Inlay, Onlay: This is an alternative to large fillings. The missing part of the tooth is made by a dental technician according to the impression, so the dentist has to cement it into the cavity. With this method we can even replace missing teeth (inlay bridge). This appliance saves a lot of tooth structure compared to a ‘normal’ bridge, because only an inlay cavity must be created into the tooth and crown preparation does not need to be performed.

Bridge, Crown: Permanent replacement teeth can be made of metal and ceramic or metal-free materials (ceramic, Belle glass, zirconium, etc.). To be able to put a cap on a tooth, first it has to be prepared. In our surgery we make only shoulder preparations. This does take more time, but only this method can guarantee maximum precision and prevent inflammation of the gums. Our method leads to long-term success.

Partial dentures: Partial dentures can be prepared in numerous variations and a review of them would exceed the range of our homepage. If you have any questions, please contact us by phone or in person.
